Use CASE inside Claude or ChatGPT

Connect the decided security-clearance record to the AI assistant you already use. Ask your questions there, and the assistant reads the record itself instead of guessing, with links back to the decisions.

The address to connect

https://www.clearancesearchengine.com/api/mcp

  • Claude (claude.ai or the desktop app): Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector, and paste the address.
  • ChatGPT: Settings, then Connectors, where custom connectors are supported on your plan, and paste the address.
  • Cursor and other MCP clients: add a remote MCP server at that address (streamable HTTP transport).

No account or key is needed for a free allowance of 200 questions a day. An API key raises that to the key’s own quota.

What your assistant can then do

Once connected it can reach 30,316 decided cases, current through July 2026, through these tools:

  • search_cases Search the decided record by words and filters (concern, outcome, hearing or appeal, years).
  • get_case Open one decision in full: what was alleged, what the judge found on each allegation, and the outcome.
  • similar_cases The decided cases whose allegations read most like a given case.
  • get_statistics Granted and denied counts by year or by concern, always with the number of cases behind them.
  • get_timelines Measured days from a Statement of Reasons to hearing and to decision.
  • get_conduct_recency How much time had passed between the conduct and the decision, measured across cases.
  • get_candor_outcomes How cases involving candor, omission, or falsification allegations were resolved.

Things to ask once it is connected

  • Find decided cases where delinquent debts were mitigated by a documented repayment plan, and summarize what the judges credited.
  • What does the record show about how often bankruptcy cases were granted, and out of how many?
  • Open ISCR case 22-02039 and tell me what the judge found on each allegation.
  • How long does it typically take from a Statement of Reasons to a hearing?

What it is not

  • Read-only, and limited to the published public record. It never reaches accounts, uploads, or anyone’s private material, yours included.
  • Descriptive. What the tools return is what was decided in past cases, not a prediction about a pending one and not legal advice.
  • Defense (DOHA) decisions. Department of Energy decisions are a separate record, readable in their own section.
  • For published work, attribute the data to CASE; every response carries the attribution line. The fair-use terms apply.
