Terms of Service

Last updated July 2026 · pre-launch draft, under legal review

1. What this service is

This is a private research tool over decided, public U.S. security-clearance decisions. It summarizes, organizes, and counts what already happened in the public record. It is not affiliated with DOHA, DCSA, DoD, or the U.S. Government.

2. Not legal advice

Nothing here is legal advice, and using this site does not create an attorney–client relationship. The service describes past decided cases; it does not predict, score, or assess any pending or future case. Decisions about your own matter belong with you and, if you choose, a licensed attorney. See the Disclaimers page.

3. Accounts

Uploading documents requires an account. Keep your sign-in to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service (see §5).

4. Your uploads

You may upload only documents you have the right to possess and share — typically your own Statement of Reasons. Uploads may contain information about other people; you are responsible for handling your documents lawfully. You keep all rights to what you upload; you grant us only the limited permission needed to store, process, and display it back to you. Retention and deletion work exactly as described in Privacy & Security (automatic deletion at 14 or 30 days; manual deletion anytime).

5. Acceptable use

Don’t attempt to break, overload, or probe the service; don’t upload malicious files; don’t bulk-scrape at a rate that degrades it for others; don’t misrepresent the service’s descriptive statistics as predictions or government positions.

6. Paid features

When paid features launch, prices are shown before purchase and payments are processed by Stripe. [Refund policy — to be finalized in legal review; intended default: a straightforward refund if a purchased report fails to generate.]

7. The public record

The underlying decisions are public records published by the U.S. Government. Our summaries, standardized data, and analyses are our own work product, provided for research use with attribution.

8. No warranties; limits on liability

The service is provided “as is.” We work hard on accuracy (see About & Methodology) but do not warrant that any summary or statistic is error-free, and we are not liable for decisions made in reliance on it. [Liability cap and jurisdiction-specific language — legal review.]

9. Changes; governing law; contact

We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do. [Governing law/venue — legal review.] Contact: support address published at launch [placeholder].
